Determining Eligibility

Age Range. Blue Ridge Sudbury School is open to students ages 5-19. You are eligible to begin the school year if you turn five on or before September 30th. If you turn five after September 30th, you may begin the application and enrollment process once you have turned five.

Open Enrollment. You are eligible to enroll at Blue Ridge Sudbury School at any time during the school year.

Transferring Students. If you are an older student who wishes to transfer to Blue Ridge Sudbury School from another school, you must be able to attend Blue Ridge Sudbury School for a minimum of three years and meet the state required hours to be eligible for Blue Ridge Sudbury School graduation.

Children with Special Needs. Blue Ridge Sudbury School will consider you for enrollment if you are capable of being responsible and do not present a threat to yourself and others. However, Blue Ridge Sudbury School is not equipped to handle students who have severe disabilities.

Tuition. As a private school, your parents are required to pay Tuition (unless you have funds to cover your educational expenses, which currently, none of our students do). Blue Ridge Sudbury School has established fair and competitive private school rates. The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) is also available for qualifying families.
